Fraud in the Contemporary Art Market: The Lessons of the Knoedler and Johns Scandals hosted by the NYCBA

On Wednesday, June 15, Joe Patella will appear on a panel discussion entitled, “Fraud in the Contemporary Art Market: The Lessons of the Knoedler and Johns Scandals” hosted by the New York City Bar Association Art Law Committee. The panel will discuss fraud in the contemporary art market using the two case studies as examples and will each focus on different aspects of the purchasing or sales of art. Joe will discuss applicable statutes of limitations and the law governing the accrual of claims.
