(Washington, DC)—On August 14, 2015, the Corporación Interamericana para el Financiamiento de Infraestructura S.A., a sociedad anónima registered under the laws of the Republic of Panama (“CIFI”) closed on a US$4.5 million secured loan to two Ecuadorian companies (Lojaenergy S.A, and Renovaloja S.A.). Structured as a limited recourse project financing, the proceeds of the loan are intended for the purpose of financing capital expenditures in connection with the development, operation and maintenance of a 2.3 MW photovoltaic power project in the Republic of Ecuador.
