Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP acted as counsel to J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as remarketing agent, for the remarketing of $100,000,000 aggregate principal amount of Mason County, West Virginia Pollution Control Revenue Bonds (Appalachian Power Company Project), Series L.

Appalachian Power is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc., a public utility holding company. Appalachian Power Company is engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 958,000 retail customers in the southwestern portion of Virginia and southern West Virginia, and in supplying and marketing electric power at wholesale to other electric utility companies, municipalities and other market participants.

The Hunton Andrews Kurth team included Bud Ellis, Steve Friend and Paloma Luz. Cary Tolley and Kimberly Nolte provided tax advice.
