Hunton Andrews Kurth represents IDB Invest in $37.5 million Loan Facility to Banco Cuscatlán SV, S.A.

On May 28, 2020, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest), as lender, and as agent for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as lender and as agent for the China Co-Financing Fund for Latin America and the Caribbean, closed on a $37.5 million unsecured loan facility to Banco Cuscatlán SV, S.A. a sociedad anónima. The proceeds of the loans are to be used by the borrower for the origination of sub-loans for its on-lending operations to small and medium sized enterprises in El Salvador.

The U.S. based firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB Invest as international counsel. Salvadoran legal advice to IDB Invest was provided by Arias.  The U.S. based firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP advised borrower as international counsel.
