Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents IDB Invest in $75 Million Subordinated Loan to Banco G&T Continental, S.A.

On December 12, 2018, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IDB Invest”) as lender, and as agent on behalf of Inter-American Development Bank, closed on a $75 million subordinated loan facility to Banco G&T Continental, S.A., a sociedad anônima organized and existing under the laws of the Republic of Guatemala.

The proceeds of the loan will be used to support the borrower’s Tier II capital and to originate sub-loans to sub-borrowers in Guatemala.

The U.S. based firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB Invest as international counsel. Guatemalan legal advice to IDB Invest was provided by Consortium Legal. Guatemalan legal advice to Banco G&T Continental, S.A. was provided by Asensio Andrade Flores Abogados.
