Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents Savanna in Acquisition of 5 Bryant Park

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented Savanna, a New York real estate investment firm, in its $640 million acquisition of 5 Bryant Park. The 35-story, 682,988-square-foot office and retail property is located on 6th Avenue in Midtown, directly across from Bryant Park.

The purchase represents the largest acquisition in Savanna’s 26-year history. The property offers marquee ground-floor retail, restaurant and fitness tenants, and serves as the headquarters for Seamless/Grubhub. Savanna intends to modernize the property by redesigning its lobby, entrance and signage, as well as by undertaking other strategic renovations. Savanna’s planned investment will follow the approximately $100 million of capital improvements the previous owner made during its ownership.
