Hunton Andrews Kurth Announces Appointment of Shaney Lokken to the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation Board of Directors

Since its inception in 1979, AVLF has been the largest provider of free legal services to low-income tenants and survivors of intimate partner abuse in Atlanta and Fulton County. The organization is dedicated to creating safe and stable homes and families by inspiring the fight for equal justice. AVLF's commitment to providing free, high-quality legal services ensures that all community members have access to the necessary legal support to protect their rights and improve their lives.

Serving as counsel in Hunton Andrew Kurth’s Atlanta office, Shaney brings nearly 20 years of law firm and in-house financial services industry experience to the firm’s public finance practice. Her experience includes financings for state and local governments and nonprofit issuers. She also represents nonprofit borrowers and financial institutions in direct purchase, credit enhancement and direct borrowing transaction. Shaney’s expertise will be invaluable in guiding AVLF's efforts to provide free legal assistance to low-income families and promote equal access to justice in the Atlanta community.
