Hunton Andrews Kurth Elevates Environmental Stewardship with Firm-Wide Earth Day Activations
In honor of the 54th annual Earth Day on Monday, April 22, Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is organizing events to promote environmental stewardship and awareness at offices across the country. The Firm Green Team, a group of lawyers and professional staff who are charged with continuously improving the firm’s environmental stewardship and sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint, are spearheading a number of events aimed towards taking care of our planet.
These events will take place in Miami, Richmond, Washington D.C., and more offices across the world and the country.
Hunton Andrews Kurth Earth Day events include:
- Miami, FL – The Miami office joined Turtle Team, a non-profit organization dedicated to ocean & marine life health, for a Marine Debris Cleanup Day.
- Richmond, VA – The Richmond office is coordinating a volunteer planting event with Capital Trees, where employees can help plant trees and other greenery in the city of Richmond.
- Washington, D.C. – The Washington office will join City Blossoms, an organization that promotes kid-driven gardens in a planting project on June 1. The office will also host a seed giveaway on Earth Day.
The firm will also host internal educational and interactive events on Earth Day at a number of offices encouraging environmental sustainability.
