Hunton & Williams LLP advises initial purchasers on AEP Transmission Company, LLC’s Inaugural Debt Offering

Hunton & Williams advised the initial purchasers, led by Barclays Capital Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. in connection with AEP Transmission Company, LLC’s (“AEP Transco”) inaugural 144A/Reg. S issuance of $700 million aggregate principal amount of its senior notes.

AEP Transco, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. (“AEP”), is the holding company of seven regulated transmission-only electric utilities. AEP Transco’s business consists of developing and building new transmission facilities at the request of the regional transmission organizations and in replacing and upgrading facilities, assets and components of the existing AEP transmission system as needed to maintain reliability standards and provide service to AEP’s wholesale and retail customers.
