New York — September 11, 2009 — Hunton & Williams LLP today announced the promotion of Michael S. Levine, Patrick L. Robson, and Brent A. Rosser to Counsel status. Each is a member of the firm's litigation practice, and the firm has a deep appreciation for their discernable leadership and ability to serve the firm's clients.

Michael Levine joined the firm in McLean, Va., in 2005, as a member of a securities practice group that focuses on complex insurance coverage and reinsurance litigation and counseling. He has worked on a number of high-profile matters, including the World Trade Center property insurance coverage litigation, liability coverage litigation, and replacement cost appraisal. Levine has a strong commitment to public service, working as a managing editor of Coverage, the ABA's bi-monthly insurance coverage publication. He also is actively involved in pro bono matters and currently is representing an inmate in civil rights litigation arising out of alleged abuse by prison guards.

Patrick Robson originally joined the firm in New York City and then moved to the firm's Charlotte, N.C. office in 2007. He represents public and private companies, investment banks, accounting firms, and company executives in complex civil litigations, securities class actions, and civil and criminal investigations. In addition to his legal practice, Robson has a strong commitment to public service and is actively involved in pro bono matters, including the representation of Iraq war veterans in disability proceedings before the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Brent Rosser joined the firm in Charlotte, N.C. in 2002, following graduation from law school. His commercial litigation practice focuses on environmental matters, as well as consumer finance, contract, and construction disputes. He regularly represents major utilities throughout the country in defense of actions brought under the Clean Air Act. Earlier this year, the national publication Benchmark Litigation recognized Rosser as a North Carolina "Future Litigation Star."

With more than 300 lawyers, the firm's litigation team is one of the nation's largest, and is recognized as one of the few truly national groups in the country. The firm's trial lawyers have been involved in high profile litigation, from corporate governance and control, nuclear power, and the "Smoking Wars" to high stakes intellectual property disputes, struggles over responsibility for cleaning up the environment, and the turf battles of telecommunications.
