James V. Davidson, counsel, Richmond, joined the firm in 2011. His practice focuses on corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters with a particular concentration on real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Kevin M. Eckhardt, counsel, Los Angeles, has been with the firm for more than 12 years. His practice focuses on the areas of distressed debt and claims trading, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, receivership and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Hunton & Williams, Eckhardt clerked for a US Bankruptcy Court Judge in Jacksonville, Florida.

Eric R. Hail, counsel, Dallas, joined the firm in 2007. His practice focuses on the representation of consumer finance companies, banks, and broker-dealers in individual and class litigation and regulatory enforcement actions. He also advises consumer finance companies on various consumer compliance related issues.

Joshua M. Kalb, counsel, Atlanta, joined the firm in 2005, following his graduation from law school. His practice focuses primarily on IP litigation and creating and preserving value in IP assets through aggressive enforcement and protection of IP rights.

Hillary Patterson, counsel, Richmond, joined the firm in 2007, following graduation from law school. Her practice focuses on commercial lending, loan workouts and restructurings and business law.

Kendal A. Sibley, partner, Richmond, has been with the firm for over 11 years. Her practice focuses on federal income tax issues with an emphasis on real estate investment trusts (REITs) on asset securitization, and investment funds. She has experience in the representation of REITs, real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMICs), publicly traded partnerships and other pass-through entities.

Allison Stelter, counsel, Richmond, joined the firm in 2007, following her graduation from law school.. Her practice focuses on the federal income tax aspects of asset securitization and other capital markets transactions, with an emphasis on real estate investment trusts (REITs). She has experience in the representation of real estate mortgage investment conduits (REMICs), regulated investment companies (RICs) and other pass-through entities.

Brandon A. Van Balen, counsel, Atlanta, joined the firm in 2003, following a one-year clerkship with Hon. Robert W. Lovegreen, US District Court, District of Rhode Island. His practice focuses on commercial lending matters, particularly on representing banks and financial institutions as agents and lenders, as well as corporate borrowers, in secured lending transactions.

Mark W. Wickersham, partner, Richmond, joined the firm in October 2007. His practice focuses on corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters, with a particular concentration on real estate investment trusts (REITs).
