Mike Levine Discusses Earthquake Insurance with Insurance Business America
Can you scare people into buying earthquake insurance?
Insurance Business America ǀ September 1, 2015
Take-up rates on earthquake insurance are dramatically low across the country. The California Earthquake Authority plans to spend $11 million on an advertising campaign featuring graphic images from the 2014 Napa Quake with hopes that consumers would consider purchasing earthquake insurance protection. Mike Levine comments about insureds potentially finding relief depending on the nature and the extent of the property damage, and tells Insurance Business America, “You can’t put everyone in the same basket following an earthquake. It really comes down to what each policyholder’s situation looks like.” Levine’s practice focuses on insurance advice, recovery and commercial litigation.
