Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP partners Rudene M. Haynes and Emily Cabrera were named among Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2021 Women Worth Watching®. The honorees represent women “leaders who demonstrate talent, courage, persistence, commitment and generosity of spirit.”

Based in Richmond, Haynes co-leads the firm’s servicer advance financing practice and serves as firm-wide hiring partner, where she is committed to expanding the pipeline of diverse candidates. She is also active in the community with her foundational involvement in “Facts & Faith Fridays”, a series of calls with members of the black faith community to provide information on COVID-19, transmission, vaccination and improving outcomes and which was cited by The White House as a model of reducing health disparities.

Cabrera is a tax and ERISA partner in the Houston office, where she assists clients with executive compensation and employee benefit arrangements, including on matters involving the newly introduced SEC’s Human Capital Rule, mandating that companies disclose human capital measures and objectives. She is also on the firm’s Minority Lawyer’s Subcommittee, encouraging the recruitment and retention of diverse attorneys while ensuring they receive proper mentorship and opportunities once at the firm.
