
Overview
Alexis focuses on labor and employment law, advising and defending employers across a wide range of workplace matters. Alexis counsels clients on compliance, risk management, and day-to-day personnel issues, covering the full spectrum of labor and employment law. His experience includes litigating wage and hour disputes, as well as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. Alexis also advises employers on traditional labor law issues, including labor management relations and collective bargaining. In addition, he regularly supports M&A transactions by identifying employment-related risks and delivering practical, business-driven solutions.
Alexis also has union and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) experience. He has worked on multiple NLRB elections and served as a summer fellow under the supervision of attorneys at the NLRB.
Before law school, Alexis worked at the Agricultural Labor Relations Board, a California government agency responsible for enforcing and protecting the rights of farmworkers, employers, and labor organizations in their relations with each other.
Alexis also maintains a strong pro-bono practice focused on immigration law. He assists clients with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) and asylum applications, and has represented individuals in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
