Chris handles complex commercial litigation, internal and external investigations, and business disputes of all varieties. He has litigated and tried matters involving real estate acquisitions and development, energy transmission and construction contracts, information technology migration and deployment matters, C-level employment disputes, land use and environmental cases, insurance coverage claims, and civil investigative demands and qui tam/false claims act matters brought against corporations in courts throughout Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and several other states. His core clients include energy companies, real estate developers, colleges and universities, technology companies, and healthcare organizations.

Whether representing the plaintiff or defendant, Chris deploys quickly to risk-assess, budget, control, strategize, and position each matter for a desirable outcome. As a result, he has been particularly effective in resolving matters pre-trial under Civil Rules 12(b) (motion to dismiss) and 56 (summary judgment). He is available 24/7 to meet clients’ needs and he staffs each case efficiently and effectively based on the subject matter involved, amount in dispute, scope and complexity of the issues, and e-discovery demands. Chris takes the leading role in every case he handles, and is involved in all critical events from the initial intake meeting to the final disposition. He has practiced with the same core personnel for his entire career.

At the beginning of his career, Chris served as a law clerk in Massachusetts’ state trial court where he worked with a number of trial judges in various courthouses in eastern Massachusetts.

In addition to focusing on his law practice, Chris is very active in his community. He served as an elected member of the Marshfield Planning Board and as Chairman for two years of his 6-year term. He is also a board member for local 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, including the Cape Cod Bay Challenge for Christopher’s Haven, located adjacent to several Boston hospitals, Supporters of Marshfield’s Uncle Bud Skatepark, and the Levitate Foundation, which supports music, arts, and the environment.
