Relevant Experience
- Provides daily representation to an association of electric utilities on water regulatory developments, including answering questions on NPDES permitting issues and developing extensive technical and legal comments on EPA regulatory proposals.
- Managed industry efforts on revised steam electric effluent guidelines rule.
- Assisted individual electric utilities with NPDES permit compliance questions, permit renewals, and challenges to state water rules and requirements.
- Advised individual electric utilities seeking to obtain thermal variances or negotiate permit conditions related to cooling water intake structures.
- Advised multiple electric utilities on issues regarding the impact of TMDLs on NPDES permits.
