(Houston, TX)—Managing Partner, Bob Jewell, announced today that Andrews Kurth Kenyon has donated nearly $100,000 in cash to those in need this holiday season. The donations were made on behalf of the firm’s clients.

“We are pleased to donate to the food banks again this year, ” said Jewell. “The food banks serve a vital role in our communities, and I believe that there are few causes that can have such an immediate impact as that of relieving hunger.”

Food bank contributions were made in the cities in which the firm operates, including:

Austin: Central Texas Food Bank
Beijing: World Food Programme
Dallas: North Texas Food Bank
Dubai: World Food Programme
Houston: Houston Food Bank
London: Hackney Foodbank
New York - Battery Park: City Harvest
New York - Midtown: City Harvest
Research Triangle Park: Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina
Silicon Valley: Second Harvest Food Bank
The Woodlands: Interfaith of The Woodlands
Washington, DC: Capital Area Food Bank

The firm also made a monetary donation to No Kid Hungry, a national organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.

The firm also sponsored its 12th annual “Open Up Your Heart and Give” campaign which called on each of the firm’s offices to sponsor a food drive. Attorneys and staff pulled together and collectively donated over 4000 food items, and, in addition to the firm’s financial contribution, the staff and attorneys donated another $50,000—enough cash and food for the food banks to provide thousands of meals to homeless and hungry children, women and men across the world this holiday season. Many employees even spent time at their respective food banks serving those in need this year.
