Andrews Kurth Represents IDB in $25 Million Loan to Hipotecaria Group

(Washington, DC)—On March 15, 2013, the Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”) closed on a US$25 million loan to La Hipotecaria de Colombia, S.A., Colombia, Banco La Hipotecaria, S.A., Panama, and La Hipotecaria, S.A. de C.V., El Salvador. The proceeds of the regional loan facility are for originating and purchasing eligible mortgage loans which are intended to be pooled and assigned, transferred or sold by the borrowers in securitizations in their respective countries.

The U.S. based firm of Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB on the financing.
