Andrews Kurth Scores 90 in 2015 Corporate Equality Index

(Houston, Texas)—Andrews Kurth is pleased to report that the firm received a score of 90 on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The firm's score reflects a commitment to LGBT workplace equality, with respect to tangible policies, benefits and practices.  

"Our continued favorable rating from the HRC is important to our firm’s efforts to promote our commitment to inclusion with respect to the LGBT community,” said Elizabeth Campbell, Partner and Chief Diversity Officer. “Our strategies in this regard include supporting HRC, the LGBT Bar Association, the Victory Fund, as well as the Outlaw student organization.”

The 2015 CEI rated a total of 971 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
