Companies should get an early start on complying with California’s sweeping new consumer privacy law, Lisa Sotto tells SecurityRoundtable.org. “Every company that does business in California will need to assess the law’s applicability and, if applicable, will have substantial work ahead to implement its requirements,” Lisa says. Inconsistencies and errors in the law need to be corrected, she explains, but businesses still should start thinking now about implications of the complex 10,000-word law because they have “substantial work” ahead to comply with it.
