Bob Woodruff Foundation Appoints Partner Kurt Larkin to its Leadership Council
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce that partner Kurt G. Larkin was recently appointed to serve on the Leadership Council of the Bob Woodruff Foundation. The Leadership Council is an advisory board formed to assist the Foundation in meeting the emerging and long-term needs of our nation’s veterans, service members and their families.
Based in the firm’s Richmond office, Larkin has a robust labor and employment practice. He advises employers on all aspects of labor-management relations, including representation elections, collective bargaining, strikes and lockouts, and strategic employment and human relations matters. Larkin is a past co-chair of the firm’s veterans pro bono committee and has participated in the Wills for Heroes program, preparing wills, powers of attorney and medical directives for Virginia first responders. He has also participated in the Lawyers Serving Warriors program, representing soldiers injured in Operation Iraqi Freedom in disability and medical retirement proceedings before military medical and physical evaluation boards. Prior to joining Hunton, Larkin served on active duty as a lawyer in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps.
About the Bob Woodruff Foundation
Founded in 2006 after reporter Bob Woodruff was wounded by a roadside bomb while covering the war in Iraq, the Foundation exists to raise awareness about the challenges veterans and military families are facing, and invests in solutions to help support them in the next chapter of their lives. Through grants, research, community building, public education and fundraising, the Bob Woodruff Foundation is working to drive change for active and retired service members.
