Corporate Counsel Honors Andrea DeField in the 2025 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce that partner Andrea DeField was named a finalist by Corporate Counsel in the category of Law Firm Talent Management in the publication’s 2025 list of the Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards. The award recognizes women “who focus on building a firm culture to help grow and retain talent. This is not limited to just female talent, but leads initiatives to retain diverse talent across the organization.”

DeField leads the firm’s cyber insurance practice and serves as a firmwide hiring partner. She also serves on the Firm’s Associates Committee, First Generation Law Student Steering Committee, and Retail and Consumer Products Industry Group Steering Committee; and co-chairs a disability awareness committee. Throughout her years at the firm, she has been responsible for many different professional development initiatives, including developing a formal business development mentoring program for associates; organizing a yearly pitch competition for associates; and creating an annual multi-day training retreat, now in its eighth year. In addition to her work in firm leadership, she helps companies navigate disasters and swiftly recover insurance funds to restore operations with minimal impact to the bottom line. She has led clients through insurance claims for some of the most widely publicized international cyber incidents of 2020 through 2025. DeField has handled arbitrations, trials, and appeals across the country in various types of insurance coverage and bad faith matters.

Corporate Counsel will celebrate DeField and the other finalists, as well as announce the category winners, at an awards dinner in Washington, DC on October 7 as part of the Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference.
