Crain’s Names Laurie Grasso to its Notable Real Estate Leaders List for the Second Time

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to share that Laurie Grasso, partner and co-chair of the firm’s global Real Estate practice, has been named to the 2024 Notable Real Estate Leaders list by Crain’s New York Business for the second time. This elite list honors executives who have impacted New York City real estate industry in major ways.

The award recognizes honorees based within the New York City metro area with career professional achievements in real estate, in addition to community and philanthropic activities, mentoring programs and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Grasso embraces the latter accomplishments, helping to spearhead the firm’s legal partnership with Project Destined and serving as co-chair for Rebuilding New York’s “She Builds” program, which recently completed their eighth annual event.

Crain’s New York Business noted that Grasso is “dedicated to finding creative solutions for clients, including exploring alternative capital avenues and different financing strategies.”

According to client feedback, Grasso is “extremely aware of her client's needs, negotiates on our behalf, is very creative in her solutions and advice, and is always a pleasure to work with even through stressful transactions.” She has a client roster that includes private equity funds, institutional REITs, investors and other property owners. She frequently represents them in connection with the structuring and closing of real estate transactions, such as acquisitions and dispositions, developments, financings, portfolio transactions, preferred equity investments, workouts, leasing and real estate joint ventures. In addition to her role as co-chair of the firm’s global Real Estate practice, Laurie also serves as the co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Investment and Finance industry group. As a core industry for Hunton Andrews Kurth, the REIF group has over 200 lawyers in major markets, providing comprehensive coverage for any real estate or real estate related matter.
