Gregory N. Stillman, who represented MercExchange in the district court win against eBay over online auction technology, was quoted by IP Law Business on juries and patent trials. He noted that the patent system is designed to protect inventors against the big companies, which was the theme of the MercExchange case.

Stillman, managing partner of the firm’s Norfolk office, focuses his practice upon federal trial and appellate litigation, with emphasis upon business torts, intellectual property (copyright and patent), securities and corporate governance.
