Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises on Ohio Power Company’s $450 Million Offering of Senior Notes

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the underwriters on an SEC-registered offering by Ohio Power Company (OPCo) of $450 million aggregate principal amount of 1.625% Senior Notes, Series Q, due 2031.

OPCo is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc., a public utility holding company. OPCo is engaged in the transmission and distribution of electric power to approximately 1.5 million retail customers in Ohio.

The Hunton Andrews Kurth team included Bud Ellis, Steven Friend, Michelle Chan and Mae Ji. Cary Tolley, Anna Page and Emily Benedict provided tax advice.
