Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is representing Superior Energy Services Inc. (Superior) in its Chapter 11 filing. Superior filed its petition for Chapter 11 protection on December 7, 2020, in the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. The pre-packaged plan of reorganization seeks to implement an agreement Superior reached with the holders of 85% of its Senior Notes to convert its $1.3 billion of funded debt into equity. The proposed plan would deleverage 100% of Superior’s long-term debt and related interest costs, provide access to additional financing and establish a capital structure to allow Superior to thrive in a low-commodity-price environment.

Based in Houston, Texas, Superior is an oilfield services company focused on the drilling, completion and production-related needs of oil and gas companies worldwide.

The Hunton Andrews Kurth team advising Superior is led by partner Tad Davidson and associates Ashley Harper, Philip Guffy and Catherine Diktaban.
