Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises Underwriters on $118,814,000 Offering of Environmental Trust Bonds
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP acted as counsel to the structuring agent and underwriters on an SEC-registered offering of $118,814,000 aggregate principal amount of Environmental Trust Bonds, Series 2021 (the Bonds) by WEPCo Environmental Trust Finance I, LLC, as “Issuing Entity”, a special purpose entity, wholly-owned by Wisconsin Electric Power Company (Wisconsin Electric), as sponsor and depositor. The Bonds were sold pursuant to a financing order issued by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. The Bond proceeds will be used to purchase environmental control property from Wisconsin Electric. In accordance with the financing order, Wisconsin Electric will use the proceeds to reimburse itself for previously incurred environmental control costs, relating to the retirement of the Pleasant Prairie Power Plant.
