Hunton Andrews Kurth and Six Firm Attorneys Recognized as Pro Bono Leaders with ABA Free Legal Answers

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that it was recently honored by the New York State Bar Association as a 2023 Free Legal Answers Law Firm of the Year at the organization’s annual Justice for All Luncheon. The recognition acknowledges the contributions of a firm with the most volunteers for the New York state page of the American Bar Association’s Free Legal Answers website.

The firm was also named an ABA Free Legal Answers 2023 Pro Bono Leader by the ABA Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Service. This recognition is given to law firms, corporate law departments and legal organizations who collectively answer 75 or more civil legal questions throughout the year. Nationally, firm attorneys volunteered more than 1,880 hours with Free Legal Answers and answered 921 questions in 2023.

The ABA also recognizes individual attorneys who have answered 50 or more questions within a year. Six firm attorneys were recognized as 2023 Pro Bono Leaders:

Now in its eighth year, ABA Free Legal Answers is a virtual legal advice portal that allows qualifying users to submit civil legal questions, as well as immigration and federal veterans’ questions, to be answered by the nearly 13,500 pro bono attorneys across 43 jurisdictions
