Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP has received Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule™ certification for the fifth consecutive year. Mansfield is a year-long, structured certification process to ensure that all talent at our firm have fair opportunities to advance into leadership. The focus is on opening the door wider so that opportunities for advancement are transparent and inclusive for everyone.

Mansfield seeks to promote a level playing field by recognizing firms that have implemented transparent advancement processes and have considered at least 30% of their candidates for many categories of leadership from historically underrepresented groups (those who voluntarily self-identify as women, racial/ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities and LGBTQ+).

“Our firm promotes a culture of respect, collaboration, involvement and empowerment through our inclusive professional community of highly qualified lawyers,” said Hunton Andrews Kurth Managing Partner Samuel Danon. “We believe this diversity optimizes our ability to deliver excellent client service, including alignment with our clients’ interests of staffing their legal teams with diverse talent and versatility.”

“Diversity and inclusion is a longstanding pillar of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s foundation, having established our first Diversity Committee more than 30 years ago and continually achieving 100% participation of our full-time U.S. attorneys in D&I activities,” said partner Shemin V. Proctor, who co-chairs the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee with partners A. Todd Brown and Emily Burkhardt Vicente. “We are proud to continue to demonstrate our commitment to the Mansfield initiative and cultivate diverse activities, leadership and mentorship across the firm.”
