Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of four lawyers to counsel. The firm proudly recognizes these talented individuals for their accomplishments and outstanding client service.
Kevin E. Gaunt (Litigation, Washington, DC) practices in the areas of white collar defense, internal investigations and regulatory enforcement. He advises on matters involving financial crime, OFAC sanctions and export controls, money laundering, the FCPA and anti-bribery/anti-corruption violations. Gaunt received his undergraduate degree from Davidson College, graduating cum laude, and his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif.
James L. Saeli (Tax and ERISA, New York) focuses his practice on global tax with an emphasis on matters relating to real estate mortgage securitization. He provides tax advice for a wide variety of clients in all aspects of mortgage securitization transactions, including REMICs, grantor trusts, CRE CLOs and debt structures, as well as other asset-backed securitization structures. Saeli received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, his law degree from Cornell Law School, and his masters of laws degree from the New York University School of Law.
Jennifer Potts Seybold (Tax and ERISA, Washington, DC) focuses her practice on federal tax controversies and litigation. Drawing from her experience representing the IRS in examinations and litigation, she brings perspective and insight into resolving her clients’ US and international tax issues. Seybold received her undergraduate degree and her masters of accountancy from the University of Tennessee, her law degree from the University of Georgia, where she graduated cum laude, and her master of laws degree from Georgetown University.
Cary D. Steklof (Litigation, Miami) represents individual, corporate and municipal policyholders in all types of first- and third-party insurance coverage and bad faith disputes. With experience in the areas of insurance litigation, insurer bad faith and unfair insurance practices, he concentrates his practice on advising policyholders in connection with director and officer, error and omission, cyber, commercial general liability and commercial property insurance policies. Steklof received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating cum laude from both.
