Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce that for an unprecedented fourth time since 2018, the firm was named Law Firm of the Year at the 2024 Pro Bono Awards hosted by the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP). DVAP, in conjunction with the Dallas Bar Association and the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, hosts the annual awards event to recognize extraordinary service in support of their programs for people in need in the Dallas community.

When announcing the award, president of the Dallas Bar Association Bill Mateja touted the firm’s lawyers and paralegals for donating thousands of hours to pro bono service in the Dallas community. This includes the firm’s efforts to incept and maintain the DVAP’s virtual clinic platform, which has served more than 19,200 applicants, our achievement of placing and servicing dozens of direct pro bono matters from the community through DVAP, and our dedication to continuing the Small Business Clinics in conjunction with community partners across Dallas.

“This recognition reflects the outstanding teamwork, leadership, and dedication of our attorneys and paralegals in the Dallas office as well as the steadfast support of our committed staff members,” said Fawaz Bham, partner and chair of the firm’s Dallas office pro bono committee. “We are incredibly proud of our contributions to enhance our local communities and we deeply value the opportunity to continue strengthening our enduring partnership with DVAP.”

Hunton Andrews Kurth is proud of its community service and leadership among law firms in the United States, where the firm’s tradition of pro bono service is well recognized. The firm encourages individual dedication to providing legal representation to those in need within our communities, whether it is through local projects or partnerships with clients. For 15 consecutive years, the firm has achieved 100% full-time U.S. lawyer participation in pro bono projects, and in the most recent fiscal year, contributed more than 51,500 pro bono hours globally.
