Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents Sabine Oil & Gas Holdings, Inc. in Sale of Sabine Oil & Gas Corporation to Osaka Gas USA Corporation

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is representing Sabine Oil & Gas Holdings, Inc. in its sale of Sabine Oil & Gas Corporation to Osaka Gas USA Corporation. The sale will include the 175,000 net acres in East Texas owned by Sabine Oil & Gas Corporation, with 1,200 wells producing approximately 1.7 million tonnes of shale gas annually. The $610 million transaction was announced July 29, 2019, and is expected to close by the end of 2019.

Corporate partners John Clutterbuck and Phil Haines lead the transaction with assistance from associate Garrett Hughey. Partner Parker Lee and associates Ian Goldberg and Alex Miron handled oil and gas matters, and partner Allison Mantor handled tax aspects.
