Hunton Andrews Kurth Earns Top Rankings in 2020 Capital Markets League Tables

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP has again earned high rankings by Bloomberg and Refinitiv in their U.S. and global capital markets league tables for 2020.

“We remained very active on a range of public and private deals during a year that saw worldwide economic disruptions triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Susan S. Failla, who co-chairs Hunton Andrews Kurth’s capital markets practice with Courtney Cochran Butler, David C. Wright and Peter K. O’Brien.

“Our capital markets team led a number of significant transactions in 2020, particularly for clients in the energy and consumer products industries,” Butler added. “Our strong showing in the year-end league tables reflects the ongoing strength of our practice.”

The firm’s notable transactions in 2020 included advising PG&E Corp. and its electric utility subsidiary on Chapter 11 exit financings of $22.7 billion new debt issuances and $9.75 billion new bank facilities, representing Philip Morris International Inc. in its $2.25 billion senior notes offering, and representing the underwriters in a $1.25 billion debt offering by Kinder Morgan Inc.
