Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Jake Johnson and Tyler Richardson to counsel. The firm proudly recognizes these talented individuals for their accomplishments and client service.

Jake Johnson (Tax and ERISA, Richmond) advises clients on the federal income taxation of domestic and cross-border business transactions and business entities, with an emphasis on secured lending and structured finance. He provides counsel on structuring and negotiating loan facilities on the borrower and lender side as well as tax issues in asset-backed securitizations, loan acquisitions and other structured finance transactions. Johnson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond, summa cum laude, and his law degree from Duke University School of Law, magna cum laude.

Tyler Richardson (Tax and ERISA, Dallas) focuses his practice in the areas of executive compensation and employee benefit arrangements. He advises clients on a range of compensation and benefits matters, along with related issues of tax, accounting, securities, and corporate governance. Richardson received his undergraduate degree, his masters in accounting, and his law degree from the University of Texas, with honors, and his masters of law degree from Northwestern University School of Law, with honors.
