Hunton & Williams advises Kansas City Power & Light Company on $146,500,000 tax-exempt remarketing

Hunton & Williams LLP advised Kansas City Power & Light Company (KCPL) in connection with the remarketing of $146.5 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2007A and 2007B City of Burlington, Kansas Environmental Improvement Revenue Refunding Bonds (Kansas City Power & Light Company Project), which were previously issued on behalf of the Company.

KCPL is an integrated, regulated electric utility, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, that engages in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. As of December 31, 2014, the Company served approximately 520,700 customers located in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. The Company’s customers included approximately 459,000 residences, 59,600 commercial firms, and 2,100 industrials, municipalities and other electric utilities as of December 31, 2014. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Plains Energy Incorporated.
