Hunton & Williams Advises on Appalachian Power Company $300 Million Senior Notes Offering

Hunton & Williams LLP advised Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA), Inc., as joint book-running managers on an SEC-registered offering by Appalachian Power Company (“APCo”) of $300 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2044.

APCo is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. , a public utility holding company, and APCo is a part of the American Electric Power integrated utility system. APCo generates, sells, purchases, transmits and distributes electric power. APCo serves retail customers in the southwestern portion of Virginia and southern West Virginia. APCo also sells and transmits power at wholesale to other electric utilities, municipalities, electric cooperatives and power marketers engaged in the wholesale power market.
