Hunton & Williams Advises on Georgia Power Company $200 Million Senior Notes Offering

Hunton & Williams LLP advised Barclays Capital Inc. and SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc. as joint book-running managers on an SEC-registered offering by Georgia Power Company ("Georgia Power") of $200 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2016.

Georgia Power is the largest subsidiary of The Southern Company, one of the nation's largest generators of electricity. Georgia Power maintains a diverse, innovative generation mix that includes nuclear, 21st century coal and natural gas, as well as renewables such as solar, hydroelectric and wind.
