Hunton & Williams Advises on Project Finance International 2011 Deal of the Year

Hunton & Williams' role advising on Sasan Power Limited's Ultra Mega Power Project $2.18 billion financing has been recognized by PFI as the 2011 "Indian Deal of the Year." Hunton & Williams represents Reliance Power Limited as sponsor and its wholly owned subsidiary Sasan Power Limited as borrower in connection with the financing. Members of the firm also advised on the original $4.2 billion financing and development of the 4,000 MW project, which was awarded 2009 "Indian Deal of the Year" by Project Finance magazine.
