Security breaches can be costly for business. Experts have been talking about how to prevent personal information from employees and customers from being exposed to possible theft.
Speaking on business security breaches at an FTC workshop in Chicago, Lisa Sotto was quoted saying: "Consumer and employee names, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers and driver's license numbers can be used to steal identity."
Sotto, a partner in the New York office of Hunton & Williams LLP, heads the Privacy and Information Management practice of the firm, and also serves as Vice Chair of the US Department of Homeland Security’s Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee.
