Hunton & Williams LLP Promotes Labor & Employment Lawyers Kimberlee W. DeWitt and Christy E. Kiely to Counsel
RICHMOND, Va. — February 27, 2014 — Hunton & Williams LLP announces the promotion to Counsel of Kimberlee W. DeWitt and Christy E. Kiely. Through their accomplishments, DeWitt and Kiely have distinguished themselves as valued members of the firm’s labor and employment practice.
Kimberlee DeWitt, of the Richmond office, joined the firm in 2001. Her practice focuses on all aspects of labor law, including labor relations, representation elections, labor disputes and corporate campaigns. She also counsels clients on employment law issues such as employment discrimination, workplace harassment and retaliation, and drafting and enforcing noncompetition and non-solicitation covenants. Before joining the firm, DeWitt clerked for the Honorable J. L. Edmondson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta. She received her law degree from William & Mary School of Law in 2000 and her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 1995.
Christy Kiely, also of Richmond, joined the firm in 2002. Her practice focuses on affirmative action programs, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program audits, employment litigation, workplace training, and day-to-day employment advice. Kiely served as President of the Virginia State Bar Young Lawyers Conference from 2011 to 2012 and on the Board of Governors of that same organization for seven years (2006 to 2013). She is a current member of the Virginia State Bar Council. Kiely graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1998 and received her law degree from Duke University School of Law in 2002.
