Kansas City Power & Light Company’s Offering of $300 Million of Notes Due 2047

Hunton & Williams LLP advised Kansas City Power & Light Company (the “Company”) on an SEC-registered offering of $300 million aggregate principal amount of the Company’s 4.20% Notes due 2047.

The Company is an integrated, regulated electric utility, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, that engages in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. As of December 31, 2016, the Company served approximately 534,400 customers located in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. The Company’s customers included approximately 471,900 residences, 60,500 commercial firms, and 2,000 industrials, municipalities and other electric utilities as of December 31, 2016. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Plains Energy Incorporated.
