New York, September 2, 2014 – Kenyon & Kenyon LLP successfully defended C-Cation Technologies in an inter partes review filed by Cisco Systems before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The five-member panel determined that Cisco’s petition did not “demonstrate a reasonable likelihood that [Cisco] would prevail with respect to at least one of the challenged claims.” The patent in question, U.S. Patent No. 5,563,883, is directed to, inter alia, load balancing in a two-way communication system.
