Leadership Metro Richmond Honors Rudene Haynes with 2026 Ukrop Community Vision Award

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Rudene Mercer Haynes has been selected as the 2026 Ukrop Community Vision Award honoree by Leadership Metro Richmond (LMR). The award honors an LMR alumnus who exemplifies the spirit of LMR by taking its lessons to heart and acting on them, demonstrating genuine concern and respect for others, embracing inclusion, serving before leading, and creating solutions which result in positive change for the region. Recipients are nominated by their fellow LMR alumni and selected by the organization’s board of directors.

Haynes is managing partner of Hunton’s Richmond office, co-leader of the firm’s servicer advance financing practice, serves on the firm’s executive committee, and has historically represented Ginnie Mae in its multiclass and mortgage-backed securities programs. The results of her work in residential mortgage financing industry have helped make homeownership affordable and possible for many Americans. Haynes previously served as firm-wide hiring partner, and she maintains a commitment to expanding opportunities in the legal profession, mentoring attorneys, and fostering a culture of inclusion for all. Outside of her practice, Haynes is deeply involved in a variety of boards and community organizations, working to make a difference in her community by providing a voice for those most vulnerable.

Haynes will be honored at LMR’s annual alumni reception and awards on April 28.
