The attorneys were selected through a poll of more than 18,000 attorneys from across the state of North Carolina.

The following attorneys were recognized:

  • Craig A. Bromby – Environmental Law
  • Jean Gordon Carter – Tax & Estate Planning

The following attorneys were named to the Legal Elite Hall of Fame:

  • Charles D. Case – Environmental Law
  • William D. Dannelly – Environmental Law
  • William M. Flynn – Business Law
  • Douglas W. Kenyon – Antitrust Law

“We congratulate all of our attorneys who were included in this prestigious list and being recognized among the top attorneys in our state,” says William S. Patterson, managing partner of the firm’s Raleigh office. “We especially recognize Charles Case, Bill Dannelly, Bill Flynn and Doug Kenyon for being selected as members of the Legal Elite Hall of Fame.”

“Congratulations to all of this year’s Legal Elite,” added T. Thomas Cottingham, III, managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office. “We are especially honored to have been recognized by our peers.”

Business North Carolina magazine annually recognizes the state’s Legal Elite in its January issue. The results are based on a survey sent to each of the nearly 18,000 members of the State Bar living in North Carolina. The January issue includes full results and profiles of the top performers. More than 600 lawyers, about 3% of the State Bar membership, received enough votes to be among the state’s Legal Elite.
