Six Promoted To Counsel

Hunton & Williams LLP announces the promotion of the following six lawyers to counsel: Michael P. Goldman, Jane Hopwood, Jacque Kruppa, and Katrina M. Llanes of the corporate practice; Katherine C. Pickens of the capital finance and real estate practice; and Thomas R. Waskom of the litigation practice.

Michael P. Goldman, Richmond, joined the firm in 2007, following graduation from law school. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border M&A and other strategic transactions for both public and private companies. University of Richmond School of Law, JD 2007; Boston College Carroll School of Management, MBA/MSF 2004; Virginia Military Institute, BA 2000.

Jane Hopwood, New York, joined the firm in 2007. Her practice focuses on securities law compliance, corporate governance, securities offerings and domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on Latin America. Harvard Law School, LLM 2006; University of Buenos Aires, Abogada 2002.

Jacque Kruppa, Dallas, joined the firm in 2007. She focuses her practice on representing community banks in corporate, securities, and regulatory matters. Southern Methodist University, JD 2006; Texas A&M University, BBA 2002.

Katrina M. Llanes, New York, joined the firm in 2007, following graduation from law school. Her practice focuses on representation of lenders and borrowers on a wide variety of corporate finance transactions, including securitization and warehouse lending arrangements. Katherine C. Pickens, McLean, joined the firm in 2007, following graduation from law school. Her practice focuses on commercial real estate and corporate finance transactions, with an emphasis on transactional work of financial institutions. She is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee. Thomas R. Waskom, Richmond, joined the firm in 2006. His practice focuses on class action, mass tort and environmental litigation. Prior to joining Hunton & Williams, Waskom worked in politics and was named Acting Assistant Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2001.
