Virginia Business Magazine Honors Rudene Haynes at 2026 Black Business Leaders Awards
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Rudene Mercer Haynes has been named a 2026 Virginia Black Business Leaders Awards winner by Virginia Business magazine. The awards recognize Commonwealth-area leaders for their outstanding contributions and stewardship in the business community.
Haynes is managing partner of Hunton’s Richmond office, co-leader of the firm’s servicer advance financing practice, serves on the firm’s executive committee, and has historically represented Ginnie Mae in its multiclass and mortgage-backed securities programs. The results of her work in residential mortgage financing industry have helped make homeownership affordable and possible for many Americans. Haynes previously served as firm-wide hiring partner, and she maintains a commitment to expanding opportunities in the legal profession, mentoring attorneys, and fostering a culture of inclusion for all. Outside of her practice, Haynes is deeply involved in a variety of boards and community organizations, working to make a difference in her community by providing a voice for those most vulnerable.
