Virginia Lawyers Weekly Names Lewis Powell to Class of 2025 Hall of Fame
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that special counsel Lewis F. Powell III has been named to the Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Class of 2025 Hall of Fame. The annual Hall of Fame list recognizes Virginia lawyers who have been in practice for 30 years or more, as well as posthumous honorees, and who have made lasting marks on the legal field across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Criteria for inclusion include career accomplishments, contributions to the development of the law in Virginia, contributions to the bar and to the Commonwealth at large, and efforts to improve the quality of justice in Virginia.
Powell’s litigation practice has ranged from antitrust, trade secrets, and complex commercial disputes, to the nuclear regulatory field, environmental and toxic tort matters, and telecommunications. He has handled trial and appellate matters in state and federal courts and regulatory agencies in more than 15 states. For many years, he was a regular lecturer on federal civil procedure and litigation in the Eastern District of Virginia.
