Quoted, With Curry Out as OCC Comptroller, Doubts Persist About Fintech Bank Charter, Corporate Counsel

Jarrett Hale provides commentary about the uncertainty of the fintech bank charter proposal during a recent change in leadership at the OCC. Outgoing OCC Comptroller, Thomas Curry, introduced a draft charter proposal on March 15 and it aimed to help fintech companies become nationally chartered banks.  Hale tells Corporate Counsel, with Curry’s departure, “it’s anybody’s guess” what will happen to the fintech charter proposal.
