Josey A. Theal

As an associate in the firm’s oil and gas group, Josey focuses her practice on energy transactions. Her experience spans the energy industry, including the upstream (onshore and offshore) and midstream sectors, oilfield services, and energy transition.

Josey represents clients in asset acquisitions and divestitures, commercial agreements, equity investments, and joint ventures, and she provides guidance on strategic corporate matters. She also advises on the development and financing of projects in carbon capture, use, and sequestration (CCUS) and in cogeneration.

In addition to her work on energy transactions, Josey has a background in finance and commercial lending. She has represented both financial institutions and borrowers in various financing arrangements, including reserve-based loans, net asset value credit facilities, and acquisition financing.
