Venezuela

The National TPS Alliance sued the Government asking that it postpone the termination of the 2023 TPS protection from deportation for Venezuelan nationals.  The Court granted the Motion to Postpone the early termination date of April 7, 2025.  The Government has one week to notify the Court if it will appeal; if so, Venezuelans under TPS will be able to remain in the United States while the legal matter is resolved.  If the government does not appeal, the original TPS expiration date of October 26, 2026 will apply.

Our discussion of the termination of TPS can be found earlier in this blog entry.
